Page County rolls out a new vaccination plan including children age 5-11 11/10

A news release from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) announced that they and Dollar General Stores are offering vaccinations against COVID-19.

The clinics are for those 12 and over who have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Vaccinations are also available for those seeking their second, third or booster shots.

The first clinic is tomorrow Nov. 10 at the Dollar General store at 502 W. Main St. in Stanley from 2 to 6 p.m..

More vaccination clinics will be added through Nov. 22 for the initial roll out this does not include 5 to 11 year old people.

However a Page County Public School (PCPS) social media post states that vaccinations for 5 to 11 year old people will take place Nov.15 at Page County High School from 4 to 7 p.m. with a second dose Dec. 6.

Vaccinations will be provided for 5 to 11 year old people at Luray High School on Nov. 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. the second dose is scheduled for Dec. 8.

A parent or guardian must be with the child during the vaccination.

Page County Schools do not require vaccinations to attend in person classes.
