On August 19 Middletown’s Main Street Route 11 will be shutdown starting at 2:45 for one of the area’s largest Car, Truck and Tractor shows.

We spoke with Middletown’s Clerk Christina Smith about the event in our latest news maker.

Middletown offers a handicap toolbar on their website

Middletown announced on their social media page a new toolbar on their website that coincides with National Disability Awareness Month of Oct.

Reportedly the toolbar is the first to be offered in Virginia with the handicap accessible Recite Me capabilities.

The toolbar on the website enables the user to translate into 120 languages it will also magnify.

Select elements of the website are equipped with an audio feature as well.

Middletown’s town Clerk Christina Smith said the Recite Me toolbar puts the town’s website into Americans With Disabilities Act Compliance.
