Berryville resident pleads guilty for possession

Berryville resident Cironta Commander attempted to avoid arrest in a high speed chase that ended when he struck a tree.

Then Commander tried to flee on foot he was apprehended and searched.

In his possession was a firearm and cocaine.

A subsequent search of his residence revealed more weapons and a large amount of cash.

Commander will serve 90 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to felony possession of a firearm and drugs with the intend to distribute in U.S. District Court yesterday.
