Front Royal Police investigate a bank robbery

A press release from the Front Royal Police Department (FRPD) announced the investigation of a bank robbery.

The robbery occurred at City National Bank on Commerce Ave. Fri. Nov. 12 around 3:45.

The suspect is described as a white male probably in his 20’s 5 feet 3 to 6 inches tall around 150 pounds.

He was seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a white COVID-19 style mask and sunglasses.

He showed the teller a note requesting money but showed no weapon.

The suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

He left the building on foot heading east on 6th Street.

A memorial service is planned for Officer Frazier

Woodstock native Corporal Thomas Frazier will be honored in a service to be held at Shenandoah County Park in Maurertown.

The officer served in the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office and was a life member of the Strasburg Fire Department.

After taking a job in New Mexico Officer Frazier was killed in a traffic accident.

A memorial fund has been set up with City National Bank of Strasburg for the Officer.
