FCSO seeks help in identifying suspects

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying two men wanted for Burglary of Residence.

Officers received a call on December 1st when a resident of Clearbrook noticed two white males with face masks and hoods trying to enter his backdoor on his Ring Doorbell Camera.

The suspects stole a chainsaw from the property during the incident.

Authorities investigate the shooting of 4 people in Frederick County

A news release from the Virginia State Police (VSP) Public Relations Director Corinne N. Geller states that the investigation of an incident in which four were shot in Frederick County is on going.

Four victims were transported to Winchester Medical Center with non life threatening wounds from a shooting at the Clearbrook rest stop on Interstate 81 mile maker 320 yesterday Dec. 26.

Cesar Avila and a female were getting into a domestic dispute at the rest stop according to the release.

Three men stepped in to try to prevent the altercation from becoming physical when Avila shot them and the female.

Avila fled the scene and three of the four shot were transported to Winchester Medical Center for treatment.

One of the male victims suffered more serious but non life threatening injuries and flown to INOVA Hospital in Fairfax.

Avila was tracked to Airport Road in Winchester where he was found in his car suffering from an apparent shelf inflected wound.

Avila was transported to the Winchester Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury.

FCPRD’s Parks and Pets Extravaganza

Frederick County Parks and Recreation is hosting their 7th annual Parks and Pets Extravaganza today from 10am to 2pm.

Take advantage of the opportunity to bring your furry friend to enjoy a day at the park and take a swim.

The Clearbrook Pool will be open for dock diving and vendors will be on site with everything your pet might need.

There will also be a silent auction to benefit Esther Boyd Animal Shelter.

Frederick County’s Fire and Rescue and the Sheriff’s office will have demonstrations on site.

A car show will also be held starting at 10:30 with awards for different categories.

The Core of the Community event wraps today 9/4 with BBQ and Brews

The first ever Core of Community event wraps up today Sept. 4 at Frederick County Fairgrounds in Clearbrook.

The BBQ and Brews festival kicks off at 1 and benefits the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival.

Featuring live music, BBQ, Brews and just added big screen televisions for college game watching.

We spoke with event coordinator Brad Veach about it and he tells us all about what’s planned and where you can get tickets.
