Agencies review report on I-95 shutdown
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) released the recent report from the independent study on the Jan. 3 shutdown of Interstate 95 in an email.
The Virginia Commissioner of Highways Stephen Brich states that the study will help the agency explore new approaches with on road messaging and snow clearing.
The State Coordinator of Virginia’s Department of Emergency Management Shawn Talmadge stated they will provide resources needed to support local and state partners.
Virginia State Police Superintendent Colonel Gary T. Settle stated that the collective independent report greatly benefits the agency’s ability to adapt, adjust and improve their services.
