Power providers are working diligently to restore power

Emails from both Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) and Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) (listed alphabetically) show that all are working diligently to have full restoration of power as soon as possible.

The Jan. 3 storm Frida caused historic damage downing trees, breaking power lines and damaging equipment according to an REC email.

The overnight freezing temperatures and downed trees have added to hampering the efforts however.

All cooperatives are working together to restore full power as safely and as quickly as possible.

Reserves and resources have been called in to assist form as far away as Indiana and Florida in some cases.

Your power provider is offering an estimate of full restoration as well as outage reports at their individual websites.

If you are still experiencing an outage report it to your provider as soon as possible at their respective website.
