A social post from Browntown Baptist Church, 12 Browntown Rd. will hold a vigil for two that were lost in a boating accident over the weekend.

A candlelight vigil will be held tonight Jan. 25 for Cory Alles and Nathan Jenkins at 7 p.m..

According to Outdoorlife.com the pair were lost after their boat capsized in what is being described as a winter storm.

The storm created dangerous winds and frigid temperatures Sat. Jan. 22 off the shore of Chincoteague Bay causing a wave that capsized the boat.

Two other former occupants of the boat were rescued by good Samaritans following the boats capsize.

Alles’ body was recovered later while the search for Jenkins continues by boat and aircraft until he is found.
