A town of Front Royal news release announced the search for a councilperson.

Applications are being accepted by Front Royal from citizens interested in serving on the council through Apr. 21.

The seat became available due to the sudden resignation of Councilman E. Scott Lloyd who announced his resignation Mar. 28.

The term for his replacement will expire upon the oath being administered to Lloyd’s replacement from a special election to be held in Nov. 2022.

The person elected will serve the rest of Lloyd’s term which expires Dec. 31, 2024.
