FCSO arrests four after reported larceny

Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of four individuals after a larceny took place on Friday.

Authorities were dispatched to the 4200 block of Lee Highway during a reported larceny that was in progress.

During the initial investigation authorities discovered a suspicious vehicle near the scene of the crime which was occupied by two individuals that matched a description that was conveyed by the caller who reported this incident.

There were narcotics and paraphernalia discovered in the vehicle along with stolen property that was located near the vehicle.

All individuals were detained without any further incident. The individuals are identified as Thomas Lerchenfield, Kalila Saa, Antonio Harris and Bobby Leinbaugh. All four were arrested and charged with possession of burglarious tools, petit larceny and drunk in public.

There were an additional three warrants served to Saa from Stafford and Washington County and was also an additional identity theft charge.

All individuals are currently being held at Fauquier County Adult Detention Center without bond and additional charges are pending.

Solar amendment approved

After a public hearing on January 16th, the Clarke County Board of Supervisors approved an amendment to the Solar Power Plant and Use Regulations.

Effective immediately, the amendment allows for utility scale solar to be in areas of the county where they already exist.

The amendment also clarifies that homeowners and farms may install solar to power on their private lands.

Any spare power can be sold back to the power grid.

Graduation ceremonies around the region

157 Clarke County high school graduates received their diplomas last night Jun. 10 before the rain fell at Feltner stadium.

Warren County and Skyline high schools hold their graduation ceremonies tomorrow Jun. 12.

Warren County’s commencement exercise will start at 8 a.m. at John Blanton Stadium.

Skyline hold’s their ceremony at 10 a.m. at Hawk Stadium with 229 students receiving diplomas.
