The Front Royal Warren County Economic Development Authority (EDA) Board of Directors accepted its audited financial statement for fiscal years 2018-2019.

The audit was conducted by Brown Edwards Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) of Harrisonburg.

The audit for 2019 shows a deficit of $6.5 million.

EDA Board Chairman Jeff Brown states in the press release that the recommended internal controls have been implemented.

Warren County staff members are now administering check writing duties as well as collecting all rents.

These steps or layers of approval were not in place three years ago according the press release from the EDA and Jeff Brown.

All audits, including 2020, and forward will be done by Warren County auditors according to the press release.
