Fun Fact December 17, 2021.
You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen. And, of course, you recall the most famous reindeer of all, right? Santa’s magic nine, Rudolph being the only one that any of us could pick out of a lineup with any sense of confidence. You know, that glowing nose gives him away everytime. Two of the bunch have aliases. Donner is also known as Donder or Dunder and Blitzen is sometimes referred to as Blixem. The reindeer received the names we know them by today in Clement Clarke Moore’s 1823 poem “A Visit from Saint Nicholas” which we know as “Twas the Night Before Christmas”.
