SCSO seizes 30 grams of fentanyl in arrest

Investigators from the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office report that they conducted a controlled buy and subsequent  traffic stop that led to the seizure of 30 grams of fentanyl and an arrest on Thursday, May 18th.

Danielle Marie Bryant, 35, of Hopewell, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell or distribute.

The 30 grams of fentanyl she possessed had a street value of $3,000 and just 2 milligrams can become a lethal dose.

She was released on an unsecured bond of $7,500.

Her court date is set for June 9th, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Shenandoah County General District Court.

The investigation was part of the Sheriff’s Office efforts with the Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force.

SCSO also thanked the New Market, Strasburg, and Front Royal Police Departments as well as the Virginia State Police for their help in the investigation.
