There is a flash flood watch in effect for the area tonight through late Wed. with a possible 3 to 5 inches with some areas receiving a possible 8 inches of rain.

Shenandoah County Fair reports it will hold tonight’s demolition derby Aug. 31 rain or shine.

The pig scramble has been moved from Wed. Sept. 1 to Thur. night Sept. 2 with plans to hold it inside if conditions warrant.

With regrets the Marshall Tucker Band show for Thur. Sept. 2 has had to be canceled due to illness.

Refunds for the Marshall Tucker Band show are available from the fair.
