Warren County DSS offers one stop resource center

The Warren County Department of Social Services (DSS) will once again be hosting its one stop resource center.

This will feature 13 different local agencies under one roof at the Warren County Community Center at 538 Villa Avenue.

This happens once each quarter and this quarter will be held Sept. 7 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m..

Among the agencies attending this session include the Virginia Employment Commission, Job Corp, Division of Child Support Enforcement, St. Luke’s Community Clinic, Phoenix Project, Warren County Victim/Witness and others.

Tomorrow 11/12 the last day to apply for heating assistance

An email from Winchester City reminds residents that tomorrow Nov. 12 is the last day to apply for heating assistance from the Department of Social Services.

The assistance is available to low income households to meet heating needs.

The assistance is also able to assist low income households with paying current or past due bills.
