Strasburg upgrades from Drought Watch to Warning
The Town of Strasburg reports they are reinstating voluntary water conservation measures.
Even after reported record rainfall in some parts of Virginia Strasburg continues to struggle with low water flow.
The town has upgraded their Drought Watch to a Drought Warning and issued a voluntary water conservation proclamation for all citizens and businesses.
The low water flow includes the Shenandoah River, and well water users as well.
If water levels continue to drop, a drought warning condition will be issued.
Still the current Drought Warning is a voluntary effort to conserve.
Water conservation efforts are encouraged at all times as this will also help in keeping water bills low for the consumers of town water.
Water conservation tips are available here along with updates on the situation.
