FRPD resolve an assault case with help from Marshal’s Ser. and MPD

On Sunday September 17, the Front Royal Police Department (FRPD) report launching an investigation into a breaking and entering in the 900 block of South Marshall Street.

Upon arrival officers found a victim in front of the location suffering from life-threatening injuries as the result of an assault.

The victim was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital (WMH) before being transferred to Winchester Medical Center (WMC) for emergency surgery.

A suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

Monday September 18, Anthony M. Stewart was arrested by the United States Marshals Service and Martinsburg Police Department (MPD) Officers in Martinsburg.

Stewart is being held without bond awaiting extradition back to Virginia.

The 35-year-old Stewart is charged with aggravated malicious wounding, burglary and violation of protective orders.

Stewart’s court date is set for October 12 at 9 a.m. in Warren County Juvenile and domestic relations court according to an email from FPD.

FRPD make an arrest of another potential predator

The Front Royal Police Department (FRPD) report the arrest of another potential predator.

July 29 FRPD Detectives initiated an investigation regarding the solicitation of minors in Warren County.

An adult male began soliciting a person he thought was a 15-year-old who in reality was an undercover officer.

The male suspect sent unsolicited sexually explicit materials to the officer.

A meeting place was arranged within Front Royal with the male traveling to meet the person.

Upon arrival Garrett A. Wright of Martinsburg West Virginia was arrested July 31.

The 30-year-old Wright faces charges of use of a communications system to facilitate certain offenses involving children and a second offense of taking indecent liberties with children.

Wright is being held without bond in the Rappahannock Shenandoah Warren Regional Jail with an August 24 9 a.m. Warren County court date.

The FRPD is an active member of the Northern Virginia DC Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
