Shenandoah National Park will celebrate National Go Fishing Day tomorrow at 9:00 am at the Big Meadows Visitors Center.

The holiday is dedicated to simply taking a break from your daily routine to bait a hook and set a line.

For this year’s celebration, Shenandoah National Park is partnering with Project Healing Waters, an organization dedicated to the emotional and physical rehabilitation of disabled active duty and veteran military members through fly fishing, for an interactive fishing demonstration.

Park Rangers will also have Junior Ranger Angle booklets for kids with badges available for completed activities.

The activities are free with no registration required.
