MPD receives protective vest donation
The Martinsburg Police Department (MPD) report that they are the latest agency to receive a bullet and stab protective vest for a canine officer.
Canine Officer Ryker should receive his body armor vest in no more than 10 weeks.
The vest is donated by the nonprofit organization Vested Interest in K9’s Inc. a 501 © (3) dedicated to protecting dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.
To date Vested Interest in K9s has been able to provide over 5,000 vests which amounts to approximately $6 million through donations.
A tax deductible donations of $985 provides a vest for a canine with a donation of any size always welcome.
