The City of Winchester is participating in a innovative Municipalities Initiative for drone services.

The study is to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of using drones for different services.

Drone technology will be tested in certain areas of the city starting the week of September 20.

The test will determine if the technology could be effective in the City.

The drones could help with the collection of water usage information, road inspections, energy loss detection, map accuracy and tree inspections along with other services.
