Disaster loans available
Due to the prolonged drought conditions, the Clarke County Virginia Economic Development is reporting that disaster loans are available to all small businesses, farmers, small businesses cooperatives and nonprofit organizations are now eligible for the US Department of Agriculture
Emergency loans.

Warren County appoints a director of economic development
An email from the Deputy Clerk of the Warren County Administration Emily Ciarrocchi announced the appointment of a new director of Economic Development for the county.
Warren County’s current Planning Director Joe Petty will take on the new position from this day forward.
As the Director of Economic Development Petty will coordinate several groups to promote tourism and economic development throughout Warren County.
Petty will be coordinating efforts between the Board of Supervisors, County Staff, Front Royal Warren County Economic Development Authority, State Agencies, The Town of Front Royal as well as Discover Front Royal.

Front Royal invites the public to a comprehensive planning meeting
A town of Front Royal social media post announced a comprehensive planning meeting and the public is invited.
The citizen input is encouraged for planning purposes for the next 30 years.
Subjects like roads and transportation, affordable workforce housing, economic development and more will be discussed.
Staff and summit engineers will provide information and be asking for the public’s input.
The first meeting is Tue. Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. with a second meeting at 5 p.m. that day at the Front Royal pavilion.
Light refreshments and food will be available.

Page County offers business grant funding
Page County Economic Development is offering individual grants for businesses.
The grants are available through the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development Block Grant Program.
Each business could receive up to $4,000 to offset the cost of the pandemic.
The business has to meet certain criteria to qualify for the funds.
