Shenandoah County gets housing relief
Shenandoah County residents who need help with living expenses may finally find some relief.
The Emergency Food and Shelter Program awarded $50,277 to provide rent, mortgage, and motel assistance to families in need.
The local board awarded the full grant to a nonprofit organization based in Winchester, Faithworks.
The agency provides housing assistance throughout the Northern Shenandoah Valley and were the only local group to apply for funding.
Faithworks is accepting applications until October 25, 2021 or until all funds have been allocated.
