Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) reports an investigation of a suspicious package found in Linden Virginia.

Sunday morning July 7, FCSO deputies were dispatched to Monastery Road in Linden for a report of the package.

Arriving units located a box outside the front door of the Saint Dominic’s Monastery.

On top of the box were other concerning items.

Because of that, the Virginia State Police (VSP) bomb squad was requested to assist.

Other contacts were also made, and upon visual inspection and a series of x-rays of the box and its contents, the VSP disrupted the package to render it safe.
