Happy New Year, unless you suffer from neoannophobia.  From the Greek, neos meaning new and the Latin annus meaning year, this phobia is the fear of the new year.  While for most the new year brings opportunities for things to be better than the previous year.  A better job, mended relationships, new adventures and so much more.  For neoannophobics none of that seems possible.  The fear can be based on a lot of different factors and tends to effect those who are older.  The good news is usually, as the newness of the year wears off, neoannophobics become less fearful, especially as spring and warmer weather arrives.
