Millbrook High School in Frederick County had to evacuate and send students home early yesterday.

A fire started in a dust collector in one of the schools career and technical education areas and produced a visible cloud of smoke.

All staff and students evacuated safely to the football stadium across school grounds.

The school faced minor damages and students who left items during the evacuation will receive further instructions this weekend on how to retrieve their belongings.
