Governor Glenn Youngkin announced the restoration of rights to over 800 formerly incarcerated Virginians.
The decision to restore their rights was made in time for those individuals to register to vote before the November 8th election.
Governor Youngkin said, “Second chances are essential to ensuring Virginians who have made mistakes are able to move forward toward a successful future.”
Secretary Kay Cole James also highlighted how crucial civil rights are to actively participating in your government.
