The Board of Directors of Blue Ridge Hospice, a local not-for-profit hospice, welcomed it’s new President and CEO Cheryl Hamilton Fried to Winchester.

Fried’s career in hospice and care for the frail spans over 27 years.

Most recently Fried was asked to serve as interim President of Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care, a not-for-profit hospice in Colorado Springs, CO.

Prior to that role, she was Chief Operating Officer for Chapters Health System in Temple Terrace, FL, managing its three hospice providers and certified home health agency.

During Fried’s career she has provided executive leadership for hospice, certified home health, private home care, Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and several state Medicaid-managed care programs.

Fried has also developed and led several palliative care programs. In addition to home-based hospice care.

Fried has operated pediatric hospice programs, as well as hospital-based and free-standing inpatient care centers. 

Fried received her undergraduate degree from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL and her MBA in Health Services Management from Webster University in St Louis, MO.

Earning her Hospice Administrator Certificate from California Association for Health Services at Home (CAHSAH).

Fried said in a statement that she is honored to serve such a group that has served the community for 40 years.
