Old Town hosts Holiday Open House

Old Town Winchester is celebrating the most wonderful time of the year today with a Holiday Open House from noon to 5 pm.

In addition to all your favorite Walking Mall stores, a Winter Market with unique gifts from local vendors will open in the Feltner lot on Loudon Street.

Old Town Spirit will be in effect for the duration of the event, so grab your favorite beverage as you shop and stroll.

The Children’s Wonderland will have visits from Santa and the Grinch as well as free, family friendly activities.

If you hate wrapping presents like I do, they’ve got you and your presents covered with a free wrapping station.

Froggy’s Closet and The Evans Home is also hosting a Donation Drive for toys, cloths, blankets, or a monetary gift to help our local children in need.

News Maker Amanda Behan on WPD Christmas drives

The Winchester Police Department (WPD) has two separate campaigns going to make a brighter Christmas for community members this year.

We spoke to Police Chief Amanda Behan about their shop with a cop program and the coat drive for Froggy’s Closet in our latest news maker.

News makers are brought to you by Warren County Together We are Community.

Chief Behan tells us both drives were inspired by two officers who lost their lives while with the department.

She also tells us that the more donated to the shop with a cop program the more kids will be able to participate.

Chief Behan also tells us how we can help and where to donate.
