FCSO arrest suspect in bank robbery thanks to public tips

Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) report the arrest of the suspect in a bank robbery thanks largely to tips and information from the public.

Tips and information from citizens, witness statements, and video surveillance review led to the would be bank robber’s identification.

Logan Carl Heironimus of Berkeley Springs West Virginia was identified as the likely suspect December 21.

Investigators made contact with Heironimus who told authorities that he was no longer in the Virginias but would be returning soon.

As a result of the contact and the information gathered a warrant for robbery was obtained for the 27-year-old suspect.

Heironimus turned himself into Killeen Texas authorities and was taken into custody on Christmas day and is now awaiting extradition back to Virginia.

On December 13 Heironimus appears to be the one who entered the Wells Fargo branch bank in Rivendell Court and handed the teller a note demanding money.

Heironimus indicated that he was armed but did not display a weapon and made off with an undetermined amount of money.

Frederick County Sheriff Lenny Millholland was quick to note that without tips and information from the community resolving the case would not have been as quick or successful.
