90th Historic Garden Week kicks off in Front Royal

The Garden Club of Virginia is kicking off their 90th Historic Garden Week in Front Royal with a walking tour of Chester Street.

The tour travels through the historic district and will visit three properties of the Warren Heritage Society Village including an 1800s log house, a Victorian home that was a residence of diarist Lucy Buck in 1904, and her previous home, the Bel Air mansion built in 1795.

Proceeds from the tour benefit the preservation of Virginia’s historic public gardens and a research fellowship program.
