Warren County Fire and Rescue’s (WCFR) Water Response Program has received four kayaks to assist with the Community Water Rescue Program.

The kayaks were donated by Front Royal Outdoors and Down River Canoe Company.

The department has received an increased number of water rescue calls due to the influx of visitors to the area.

Low water levels have created a condition where kayaks have become more effective and better water rescue device.
