Front Royal Police Department (FRPD) and Town Crews were kept busy Saturday afternoon Mar. 13 after a utility pole was struck and broken on North Royal Ave..

The incident shutdown Royal Ave. from 12 Street to Commerce Ave. for at least 3 to 4 hours.

After striking the pole the driver continued driving only to be apprehended a short time later on Jackson St.

The incident remains under investigation.
