Applications for scholarships are being accepted
A public notice email from the town of Front Royal announced that scholarship applications are now open.
There are up to five onetime $3,000 scholarships open for high school seniors who receive electricity from the town of Front Royal.
This is the Lyle B. Wright scholarship and designed to encourage high school students to further their education and to create an awareness of careers in the municipal utility field.
A student meeting the requirements must submit an application and essay on electricity or green initiative to the town of Front Royal by Dec. 15.

Front Royal Town Council goes virtual
Tonight’s Front Royal Town Council meeting and work session at Warren County Government Center Board Room will begin at 7 p.m..
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions Citizens and members of the press are encouraged to stay home and watch the meeting live on the town’s website at frontroyalva.com or on Comcast channel 16.
The Town Staff will remote in to this session.
There is no public comment at this work sessions and special meetings.
