STEAM-H scholarship

Governor Glenn Youngkin, First Lady Suzanne S. Youngkin, and the Virginia Council on Women today announced the 13th Annual Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and Healthcare (STEAM-H) essay scholarship and encourage female high school senior students to enter.

The STEAM-H Scholarship is available to female seniors who have a GPA of 3.0 and are planning to go into a STEAM or Healthcare field.

Applications and guidelines are available online here.

Entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024.

Essays will be judged by a panel of Council members and individuals who represent STEAM-H fields.

Winners will be notified in late April 2024.

The scholarship awards will be presented in the spring of 2024.

Applications for 4-H scholarships are being accepted

Friends of 4-H, Sharon and Dennis Lilly have endowed a new 4-H scholarship.

The scholarships are for high school seniors through the Shenandoah Community Foundation who are 4-H members.

Applications must be in by Sun. Apr. 25 at shenandoah.ext.vt.edu/programs.
