Old Town hosts Holiday Open House

Old Town Winchester is celebrating the most wonderful time of the year today with a Holiday Open House from noon to 5 pm.

In addition to all your favorite Walking Mall stores, a Winter Market with unique gifts from local vendors will open in the Feltner lot on Loudon Street.

Old Town Spirit will be in effect for the duration of the event, so grab your favorite beverage as you shop and stroll.

The Children’s Wonderland will have visits from Santa and the Grinch as well as free, family friendly activities.

If you hate wrapping presents like I do, they’ve got you and your presents covered with a free wrapping station.

Froggy’s Closet and The Evans Home is also hosting a Donation Drive for toys, cloths, blankets, or a monetary gift to help our local children in need.

Historic Rosemont’s holiday open house

Historic Rosemont in Berryville is holding a holiday open house benefit on Sunday from 3 pm to 7 pm.

The historic manor and Rosemont Springs Barn will be decorated for the season and open to the public.

Before departing, make sure to stop by the Carriage House for refreshments and to meet with representatives of various nonprofits.

This year’s participating organizations include AbbaCare, Aids Response Effort, Blue Ridge Hospice, Clarke County Education Foundation, The Laurel Center, Sinclair Health Center and the Winchester Rescue Mission.

Tickets will be available for sale at the door.

Visitors are encouraged to donate to any of the causes at the event.

WPR hosts holiday open house

Winchester Parks and Recreation is hosting a holiday open house today from 9 am – 11 am at the Rec Center in Jim Barnett Park.

The event is free and will feature a variety of activities including an adult Zumba class set to holiday music.

For the kids, their will be an elf scavenger hunt, ornament decorating, and more.

A Gingerbread House station will be open but will require pre-registration.

Raffles will be held to benefit the Winchester Parks Foundation.

Some of the prizes include gift cards to Old Town Winchester Businesses, Shenandoah University and Winchester Royals gear, and more.
