Family Promise raises awareness for homeless families

Family Promise Northern Shenandoah Valley is raising awareness of the growing homeless crisis by participating in Night Without a Bed.

Members of Family Promise across the country will spend one night without a bed to spread awareness for families experiencing homelessness, especially for the 35% of the nation’s homeless population that include families with children.

The event will begin on Saturday, October 21st to Sunday morning, October 22nd.

Participants can sleep anywhere but a bed like your car, in a tent, at your church, or anywhere else.

At the end of the event, the organization asks you to post pictures or videos with captions about your experience on social media.

FPNSV is also accepting donations to support children of families experiencing homelessness through a link available here or by check to FPNSV, 131 Market St, Winchester, VA.
