The Warren Coalition announced the winners of their annual Health Video Contest.

This year’s first place prizes went to Gerald Buhl, of Warren County Middle School, and Abigail Rodman, a local homeschool student.

This was Gerald’s second time winning the contest which was open to all middle school students, ages 11-14, in Warren County during the spring semester.

Students could chose to submit a video on a variety of topics including getting enough sleep, regular exercise, drinking water, or maintaining healthy eating habits.

Both Gerald and Abigail focused on the importance of exercise in their videos with some help from their younger siblings.

Gerald discussed weightlifting in his video and Abigail provided tips on exercising without equipment.

Both winners took home a $125.00 Amazon gift card which they plan to share with their siblings.

The contest was part of the Warren Coalition’s WAHOO, Working to Achieve Healthy Outcomes and Opportunities, program which is funded by the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth.

Their videos will be used throughout Warren County later this year as healthy living ads.
