Services planned for firefighter killed in house explosion

Virginia Glenn Youngkin has order by email that flags be flown at half-staff until sunset March 4 in honor and respect for Sterling Firefighter Trevor Brown.

A celebration of life will be held March 4 for the Loudoun County firefighter who was killed in the house explosion on Feb. 16.

The service will be held at 11 a.m. March 4 at Cornerstone Chapel, 650 Battlefield Parkway southeast in Leesburg. More than 3,000 guests, along with apparatus from across the region are expected.

Loudoun County Fire and Rescue reports that parking near the church will be extremely limited. Additional parking will be available at Segra Field on Loudoun United Drive, with shuttle service to the chapel.

Detailed information about the service is available on Loudoun County Fire and Rescue’s facebook page.
