News Maker Lisa Wilt on the VT blood drive Mon. 4/18

Monday Apr. 18 is the date of this year’s annual Virginia Tech (VT) Memorial Blood Drive.

We spoke to the Donor Recruiter Manager for the Red Cross Lisa Wilt about the opportunity in our latest news maker.

The good news is brought to you by The Town of Front Royal.

Lisa tells us the drive is almost full but she reminds us to check the website daily before the event to see if any appointments have reopened.

By using the zip code 22601 at redcrossblood.org you can check on appointment opportunities.

Lisa also reminds us that we need to be sure to cancel our appointments if you can’t make it.

Canceling the appointment opens the opportunity for someone else to give.

Lisa also tells us of the incentives to give at a blood drive if saving a life isn’t enough incentive.

You could set an appointment right now using the zip code 22630 at redcrossblood.org.

Any appointment can also be made close to your home using your zip code at redcrossblood.org.
