Fun Fact October 4, 2021.

Ten four, good buddy!  It’s not just today’s date, it’s a common phrase used, especially in the world of CB radios.  Ten four means, ok, got it, I understand.  The CB, or citizens band, radio originated in the United States during the 1940s, when the FCC created the Citizens Radio Service for regulating remote-control units and mobile radiotelephones. The commission made CB radio a special class of the service in 1958 and permitted its use as a hobby in 1975.  At one time you were required to have a license to operate a CB radio, but that is no longer the case.  The use of CB radios is still regulated by the Federal Communications Commission.  Listen to the podcast here;
