Governor Glenn Youngkin announced over $52 million in Affordable and Special Needs Housing loans which will be distributed to 49 developments across Virginia.
This will create over 3,200 units for low and extremely low income households with a mix of rentals, permanent supportive housing, and homes for sale.
The loans were distributed by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development through a combination of state and federal resources.
Governor Youngkin spoke on the new housing opportunities stating, “Ensuring that Virginians have access to attainable, affordable, and inclusive housing is not only a fundamental need but also a strategic component for the prosperity of our state.”
