Gov. Youngkin officially launches Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

Last year almost 7,000 alcohol related crashes occurred on Virginia roads.

Those crashes resulted in over 4,000 people injured and almost 300 fatalities.

Those statistics show an 11 percent increase compared to 2021.

August 28 Governor Glenn Youngkin officially launched the 2023 Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over DUI enforcement campaign in Virginia.

This is the twenty-second year of the campaign and is now in effect through the Labor Day holiday weekend.

The Governor wishes to remind Virginians of the consequences of impaired driving.

Youngkin reminds all drivers in Virginia that there will be an increased presence of law enforcement in all jurisdictions through at least the holiday weekend.
