Virginia’s tax rebate deadline approaches

Governor Glenn Youngkin is encouraging Virginians to file their taxes before the November 1st deadline to be eligible to receive a tax rebate.

Qualifying taxpayers are eligible for up to $200 if filing individually or up to $400 for those filing jointly.

Not all taxpayers are eligible and only those who had a liability in 2022 can receive the rebate.

For those that received their refund by direct deposit, you will likely receive the rebate as a direct deposit in the same account.

All other eligible taxpayers will receive their rebate by mail.

If money is owed to various government agencies or institutions, the rebate will be deducted to fulfill those debts.
