VSP announces charges from fatal Culpeper County crash
Virginia State Police charged Steven A. Rose, 45, of Amissville, with one felony count of DUI involuntary manslaughter and one felony count of DUI maiming in connection with the fatal crash that occurred in Culpeper County on October 4th.
The five vehicle crash occurred at 9:08 pm at the intersection of Route 211 and 229 when Rose’s Dodge Durango slammed into a group of cars stopped at a redlight.
In the accident, two people suffered life threatening injuries and were flown to INOVA Fairfax Hospital for treatment, another driver and passenger suffered minor injuries and were transported to Fauquier Health for treatment, and the drivers of two other vehicles were uninjured.
Diane Mederos, 61, of Amissville, died at the scene due to her injuries.
Rose was the only person in the crash that was not wearing a seatbelt.
VSP investigate fatal crash following police chase
Virginia State Police are investigating a two car fatal crash that occurred Monday in Fauquier County.
Shortly after 9 pm, a 2003 Honda CR-V was eluding law enforcement traveling north on James Madison Highway when it swerved to avoid another vehicle and crashed into a Culpeper County Sheriff’s Deputy’s vehicle.
The impact caused the Honda to run off the side of the road and overturn.
The driver of the Honda, Corey Faison, 43, of Earlysville, was ejected from the vehicle and flown to INOVA Fairfax for treatment.
Faison was not wearing a seatbelt during the accident.
He succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, July 12th.
The deputy was not injured in the crash.
VSP investigates fatal crash in Fauquier County
Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal two car crash from Tuesday evening in Fauquier County.
The accident occurred along Grove Lane when a Honda CRV crossed the middle line and collided head-on with a Jeep Wrangler.
The driver of the CRV, Sandra Manuel of Delaplane, died at the scene.
Both the driver and passenger of the Jeep suffered life threatening injuries and were transported to INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
Both drivers and the passenger were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
VSP need help identifying tractor trailer
Virginia’s State Police are asking for your help in identifying a tractor trailer that caused a motorcycle crash on Thursday in Fauquier County.
The crash occurred at 3:15 pm along Route 29, James Madison Highway, near Route 744, Lovers Lane.
The 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on 29 when the tractor trailer made an unsafe lane change.
The move forced the motorcycle off the road and ejected the rider.
The tractor trailer had a black flatbed and did not stop after the accident.
The rider experienced serious injuries and was transported to INOVA Fairfax for treatment
