Am. Planning Association names Crossover Blvd. project of the year

A news release from Frederick County announced that the American Planning Association (APA) Virginia Chapter has named Crossover Boulevard as project of the year.

The newly opened Crossover Blvd. connects the county and City of Winchester.

The Boulevard is the Connectors Transportation Project of the year specifically.

Crossover Blvd. project began in 2019 as the largest transportation project ever undertaken by Frederick County.

The APA presents the award to works that often span many years to complete.

The award also recognizes works that implements new ideas to solve the Commonwealth’s transportation challenges.

John Bishop was also recognized and awarded the APA’s Outstanding Service award for his work on the project.
