UWNSV search for a replacement President and CEO

The recent resignation of United Way of the Northern Shenandoah Valley (UWNSV) President and CEO Kaycee Childress has prompted a search for a replacement.

In the meantime, The UWNSV has appointed Dr. Cheryl Thompson Stacy as interim President and CEO.

Thompson-Stacy is president emeritus of what was then Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) now Laurel Ridge Community College.

Under Thompson-Stacy’s leadership LFCC was recognized as a great college to work for from  2012 through 2017.

Before coming to LFCC Thompson-Stacy was the third president and first woman president of Eastern Shore Community College in Melfa Virginia.

Thompson-Stacy has served the community through many leadership roles that include but not limited to Chairperson of the UWNSV board of directors in 2015.

The United Way of the Northern Shenandoah Valley has announced the appointment of Kaycee Childress as their new President and CEO of the organization. Childress replaces interim CEO Cheryl Thompson Stacy as of April 25. Childress brings more than 30 years of executive leadership, marketing and development experience to her new position. Most recently Childress served as the Executive Director of Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation,
