Civil War Re-enactment Happening In Winchester

Prepare for a weekend of history on July 27th and the 28th with The Kernstown Battlefield Association.

They will be hosting a Civil War Re-enactment in Winchester to commemorate the 160th anniversary of the 2nd Battle of Kernstown.

The event will feature both the Union and Confederate camps that will be open for the public to view.

A Field hospital demonstration will also be held on that Saturday, as well as a 1864 church service that will be held on Sunday.

Living history at Kernstown Battlefield

The Kernstown battlefield Association will commemorate the 158 anniversary of the battle of Kernstown on June 12 and 13 starting at 10 a.m. each day.

Living history presentations will be held throughout the weekend along with tours of the 1863 battle sites.

The events are free and open to the public.
