20th Anniversary Butterfly Run for BRH

Blue Ridge Hospice is hosting the 20th Anniversary Butterfly 5k Run and Walk to Honor Your Heroes today starting at 9 am at Blandy Experimental Farm.

This celebration for 20 years of supporting Hospice will have more than just the run, there will also be a free yoga class, kids activities and vendors with fall themed items like apple butter and pumpkins.

Race day registration is available and there is an option to participate virtually up until October 23.

Get Out and Play Day in Front Royal

The Town of Front Royal is celebrating Get Out and Play Day with a day full of activities.

Things will get started at the Main Street Gazebo at 10 am and go till 4 pm.

The event will focus on different ways to have fun outdoors. There will be guest speakers, demonstrations, and activities for the kids.

The event is free to attend for the whole family including the furry four legged members.

WCSO offer a youth football camp

Warren County Sheriff's Office

A press release from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) announced a youth football camp.

This is the second time youth football has been offered by the WCSO.

The camp will take place Apr. 2 with registration due by Mar. 15.

The drills and skill lessons will be conducted by Shenandoah University coaches, college players as well as NFL players.

Scouts will be on hand for youth players for possible recruitment for scholarships.

Commemorative items such as T-Shirts and autographs will be offered to remember the experience.

Lunch and refreshments will be served as well.

Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee

WCDSS and the Warren County Parks and Rec are hosting the first annual Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee this year.

It will be held at the Warren County Health and Human Services Complex at 465 west 15th street in the track.

They will have balloon animals, candy, cake walk, games, as well as a photo booth.

In the event of rain they will move the activities inside the gymnasium.

Stephens City Baseball Club will hold the first tryouts today for 14 and Under at 6p.m. Gertrude E. Miller Park at Bing Crosby Stadium.
