Nats Host Mets Tonight, O’s Return To Action, Jackson Back From COVID Bout

The sliding Washington Nationals are back in action tonight after a day off yesterday. The Nats will host the New York Mets in a 3-game midweek series. Washington is 50-62, 9 games behind the NL East-leading Philadelphia Phillies, while the Mets have fallen back to third place in the division, 2 and a half games back. Air time is 6:40 on Sports Radio 1450.

Meanwhile, the Baltimore Orioles start a series against the Detroit Tigers tonight at Camden Yards. First pitch is set for 7:05.

The Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson is back from his second bout with COVID-19, but wouldn’t say if he plans to get vaccinated. Speaking to reporters yesterday, the quarterback called it a “personal decision.” The Ravens open their NFL Preseason schedule Saturday when they host the New Orleans Saints.

And, Shenandoah University held it’s annual “Meet The Fall Coaches” event last night in the “Buzzy Plaza” between Shentel Stadium and The Wilkins Center. Fans, athletes, and coaches gathered for the preview of the Fall season. Hornet Football kicks off Saturday, September 4th, when SU hosts Methodist at 1. You can hear the action on The River 95-3.
