SABF recognizes local athletes

Shenandoah Apple Blossom 2022

The Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival will recognize some of the area’s top athletes at the upcoming Sports Breakfast.

Athletes representing Warren County include Skyline’s Ethan Caperton and Warren County’s Will Waller.

Frederick County Public School’s nominated athletes include  Avery O’Roke of Millbrook, Ella Carlson of Sherando, and Jaden Ashby from James Wood.

Private school honorees include Mountain View Christian Academy’s Alle Jerles, and Legacy Christian Academy’s Mikayla Combs.

Handley’s Stephen Daley and Clarke County’s Dain Booker round out the high school honorees.

Olivia Weinel will represent Shenandoah University at the event.

Middletown and Legacy host car show

The Town of Middletown and Legacy Christian Academy are partnering to help raise funds for Legacy’s baseball field expansion with a 2nd Annual Car Show.

Last years raised enough money for the school to play their season at the field.

They are hoping this year will raise enough money for the next phase which will include bathrooms, a press box and concession stand.

The car and truck show has a $15 entry fee with prizes for multiple categories.

The event will be held Sunday, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm at the Town Park in Middletown.
